Launch
Run PinCrop.exe. A large black-and-white crosshair stays visible over light or dark content.
Portable · No installer · No account · Offline
Your screen stays yours: live and frozen crops remain on your computer and are never recorded, saved, or uploaded by PinCrop.
There is no settings screen to get through. PinCrop opens directly into selection mode.
Run PinCrop.exe. A large black-and-white crosshair stays visible over light or dark content.
Drag directly over the live, unscaled desktop—no softened selection screenshot. Press Esc to cancel.
The live crop opens at the top-right, keeps its shape when resized, and parks its source to one physical pixel automatically.
PinCrop is built to disappear into your workflow while the information you care about stays visible.
The pinned area updates with its source while the source parks out of your way. It is not a pasted screenshot.
Keep the crop visible without intercepting the mouse. Ctrl+Shift+I restores control instantly.
Choose 100%, 90%, 75%, 50%, or 25% for a quieter desktop setup.
Resize without stretching or black bars, or hold one frame in memory until you return to live.
Ctrl+Shift+P begins a crop, Ctrl+Shift+I restores mouse control, and Esc cancels selection.
Keep PinCrop.exe wherever you like. Nothing needs to be installed.
The complete utility is available without a commercial unlock.

No. It is a live view of the selected source area. Freeze is the only command that intentionally holds one frame, and that frame remains only in memory.
PinCrop ties the crop to its source window through Windows Desktop Window Manager rather than relying on old screen coordinates. Ordinary windows may move or sit behind your work. Because recognized browsers can stop painting when fully covered, PinCrop uses Edge Park to keep only a tiny source strip technically visible while the rest remains beyond the monitor edge.
The source parks to one physical pixel automatically as soon as the crop is made. This keeps the source open while moving almost all of it beyond the monitor edge. PinCrop preserves the source's prior viewport dimensions so responsive pages do not switch layout while parked. Minimizing or hiding a supported source triggers Park again when needed. This is best-effort across apps and browser versions, and PinCrop falls back to the latest frame with Source minimized if live capture fails. Double-click the crop to restore its source; closing it, closing all crops, or exiting PinCrop restores every open source to its original position and window state. PinCrop also keeps a small recovery record so a browser that was closed while edge-parked can be repaired when its matching window reappears. Closing the source app itself destroys its window, so PinCrop cannot keep it live.
Yes. Turn on Click-through. To regain control, press Ctrl+Shift+I or use the PinCrop tray menu and choose Make all crops interactive. With mouse control enabled, a normal drag moves the floating crop. Hold Ctrl and drag inside the crop to change the selected part of its source. Use the mouse wheel or a two-finger vertical scroll over the crop to scroll the source page. Touchpad pinch-to-zoom and Ctrl+wheel zoom are ignored over the crop. Double-click the crop or close it to return the source to its saved original position and window state.
Yes. Press Ctrl+Shift+P, double-click the tray icon, or choose New crop from a crop's right-click menu.
No capture tool can promise that. Windows secure surfaces, protected media, DRM video, elevated windows, browsers that pause while fully covered, and other apps that stop rendering can return a blank or paused preview. PinCrop never changes browser policies, profiles, or settings.
No. PinCrop does not record, save, upload, OCR, or analyze crop content. Network features are limited to support and updates. See the privacy notice for details.
You do not. Download PinCrop.exe, place it in a folder you trust, and run it.
